There are plenty of cool designs out there for this type of thing, but I wanted one that I could cap off, and I was also looking for a design with a longer nozzle, to reach the back leadscrew. After looking over the options, I couldn't find one that did those two things, so I made one. The design is pretty simple, and seems to work OK. No matter how you cut it, lubing the leadscrews is a messy job though, but I will take all the help I can get. This does make it a bit simpler, and the cap certainly keeps everything more tidy. After printing the prototype, I decided to add a longer nozzle option as well, which may help with accessing leadscrews which are even deeper inside some printers. There is also a storage plug which can be used to seal up the nozzle, if the stock cap is used on the tube of grease. So far I think the design is checking all (two) of the boxes I needed, plus maybe one more in that the storage cap lets me keep using the tube for other projects, while keeping the mess of storing the nozzle to a minimum.
The design will be released soon on MakerWorld, and I will post the link here.
By the way, I haven't stopped working on the other projects, I'm just waiting on parts to wrap a couple of them up.
