My Stoopid Haiku
Decided to try my hand at some Haiku. Here are my Stoopid Haiku.

This was inspired by the nutty postman who flew his gyrocopter to the capital a few days ago. His intention was to deliver letters to the Congress demanding that they implement real campaign finance reform, as unlikely as that is. I don't agree with his method, but I do agree with his message, and am thankful the capital police handled the situation professionally.
If speech is money,
buy a hamburger with it.
Need some fries with that?

Inspired by the BLM protests around the country, which are a long overdue reckoning in this country, and will hopefully be sustained until real change is made. From the statues of confederate generals, to the reasons for police violence and even the war on drugs, ignorance is a big part of the "why" we are here today. There is a good deal of this country's darker history I have learned in the past few months, much of which was never given it's due. Some of the sad chapters speak to the missed opportunities we've had as a country to do the right thing when confronted with vicious wrongs, but have walked away from. I don't think that will happen this time.
Oops, seems this one got lost, if I find it I will post it.
This is also a bit inspired by the covid deniers, some of whom (the Karens), seem to get off on the size of the wake their inflated egos cut through society. Ignorance is probably about as common as it ever was, but it's really getting it's time in the sun right now.
A man without shoes
Blames his troubles on the rocks
This is ignorance
