Really nice day today, had to go for a ride.
 A very happy dog. Sometimes when the weather cools off it is good to do something different. I normally go riding or hiking about once a week (or two) in the evening in the summer, but I was up at the ungodly hour of 4am today and saw the forecast - it was supposed to be 78 degrees this morning. So I started getting my bike ready to go when I saw something that changed my plans. My dog was looking at me with her big brown eyes, saying take me for a walk you bozo. She knew I was going to go out riding, and she never goes with me for that, but dogs are supreme optimists. She was right though, and I owed her since taking her to the vet yesterday where she had an annual poop check (which is not a dignified process). I felt it was the least I could do to take her out, so instead of a ride by myself, we went for a hike up a local trail and met a few really nice folks. I think I may have to listen to my dog more often :D
