New fan duct for the Titan Aero extruder mount

7/27/2019

This has not been posted and may not be since there are a ton of better Titan Aero mounts for the CR10 / Ender3.  My mount however has had one major issue which was the fan duct.  The original duct was too close to the hot end, and over time the airflow became disturbed as the duct warped a bit.  Also it was not low enough.  I redesigned it to hopefully fix both issues and feel that this new duct should be pretty robust and offer a much less restricted airflow than the old one.

The old version of the duct is below, and regardless of how well the new one works, I won't be going back to the old design.

This project is somewhere published?
I search for something like that.

Hi Tomasz, unfortunately I never published it. I found that other designs like the hero seemed to be better, and I wanted to test this design further. It is tested and works, though I would prefer a more open design that allows access to the hot end. Since then, I just forgot to post it. I am not sure I still have the files for it, but will check, and if I can post it, will add a link here.

Thanks, for answer,
I try to design duct with circular flow, Idea is to cool not only near nozzle but also around, is very useful in hi temperature larger object, for minimize deformation of temperature stress.

Tom.
