I admit that I have a smartphone and I find it useful, but I feel like they have invaded our lives much more deeply than we sometimes realize. Next time you have dinner with friends, keep a mental note of how long and how often phones come up. Maybe it is just because my friends are single, but I find it interesting how often our phones get discussed at dinner. I'd suspect that single people talk about their smartphones almost as much as married folks talk about their kids. Maybe somebody will come up with an app that will cry, poop, need braces, have homework and finally cost you your retirement savings to send to college, that would be something to talk about at the dinner table :D
